The videos range in difficulty level from first-time beginner to intermediate, including grammar, conjugations, and practical conversations. Unlike the videos directly on the SpanishDict website, individual videos on YouTube may be divided into two parts.

News in Slow Spanish is a weekly presentation of current news...   in Spanish...   spoken slowly! You read as you hear it spoken. You can point to pre-selected, highlighted text for pop-up translation of difficult words and phrases. First few paragraphs of each week of news, expressions, grammar, etc. are FREE (to let you try it), but a subscription provides more content.
From the creators of SpanishDict, the Fluencia site offers learning in an environment much like Rosetta Stone. FREE trial available. "Cloud" based, and therefore available on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
There is a multitude of free videos, at a variety of skill levels, available via SpanishPod101, which is available on YouTube, where it states that it is "The Fastest, Easiest, Most Fun Way to Learn Spanish. There is also a website: www.SpanishPod101.com

DuoLingo - Another FREE online, web-based course which also has a smartphone app! This one is not designed for the very beginner, but rather the student that has a bit knowledge of Spanish language already. The program is goal oriented, the extent of which is set by the user and how much time can be alloted to the app daily. It offers training in reading, writing, speaking, listening, verb conjugations and sentence structure. It offers correction for wrong responses, and guidance for typos and use of accent marks. Goals are broken down into components of "levels" and subject categories.
Google Translate - FREE language translation service. English-to-Spanish, Spanish-to-English, and many other languages. Translates as you write... i.e., automatic translation IF you are on a computer (vs smartphone). Includes audio recital ("Listen") of both input and output text!
Yabla Spanish. "Learn Spanish by watching Spanish videos in an online video player designed for language learners."
The Spanish audio is written onscreen and translated to English onscreen; one can pause the video or go backward section by section, or start the video at any location. Is the speaking too fast for you?... just click the "slow" button! Each written word (the Spanish and/or English!) can be clicked for a translation and explanation. A question/answer game is provided for review after each video. Each video is tagged as one of five difficulty levels. There are several FREE videos, but a paid subscription will get you access to more. Tip: At the end of each free video is displayed additional free videos not listed on the site's home screen!
